ABOUT US

THIS IS WHO WE ARE, OUR MOTTO. ABOUT INDIGO. ABOUT US.

Who We Are?

INDIGO TOURS is a tour operator led by locals who know Sintra inside out.

The idea was born on a trip to Vietnam, where we did a 4-day motorcycle tour with local guides.
Those 4 days were, without a doubt, some of the happiest days of our lives.

We knew right then that we wanted to recreate that same feeling for people visiting Sintra — but instead of motorcycles, Tuk Tuks. And that’s how INDIGO was born.

Our goal is simple: Make your Visit to Sintra the highlight of your trip to Portugal 🙂

Let us introduce ourselves — click on our photos to learn more.

“If it’s rushed, meaningless, and has no real connection, I definitely won’t be there.”

“We’ve seen this mountain hundreds of times — we’ve done countless tours through its hills and roads.
But still, every time we see the look of wonder on someone’s face when they first take in Sintra’s breathtaking views, it reminds us why we love what we do.
That moment makes every single ride worth it.”

THE MOUNTAIN

Sintra is beautiful in every season — summer or winter, sunny or foggy. The mountain has its own rhythm, and every kind of weather brings a different kind of charm.

For centuries, this place has inspired kings, poets, and travelers from all over the world. Once known as the Mountain of the Moon, Sintra has always been wrapped in mystery — a land where nature, history, and legend meet. Between ancient palaces, hidden chapels, and deep green forests, every corner has a story to tell.

Don’t worry if the day starts with clouds or mist — that’s when Sintra shows its most mystical side. The fog wraps the palaces and forests in a soft, dreamlike light, turning every corner into a fairytale scene.

We’ve seen this mountain hundreds of times — we were born nearby, and we’ve done countless tours through its hills and roads. But still, every time we see the look of wonder on someone’s face when they first take in Sintra’s breathtaking views, it reminds us why we love what we do. That moment makes every single ride worth it.
